First Poster for ‘Transformers 4’, Officially Titled ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’

Paramount just sent over the first official poster for Transformers 4, which had officially been titled Transformers: Age of Extinction. Other than that, however, no new information is gained.

Set for release on June 27, 2014, the film, like the previous three, it’s directed by Michael Bay and this time around is lead by Bay’s Pain and Gain star Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. The studio has yet to issue an official synopsis, but one that leaked online earlier goes as follows:

As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.

There is talk of Dinobots and I’m sure the world will be blown to he’ll in back, but then again I don’t think even the most ardent of fans address going into this one seeking an actual story. In fact, probably quite the opposite.

Everything said, here’s that poster.
