I’m sitting down to see Rush just as you read this post and apparently the review embargo was lifted today, but I think I’ll hold my review until mid-stream at the Toronto Film Festival so as to allow the film to settle a little and to give me a little padding in-between the onslaught of reviews I’ll have to write during the fest.
Directed by Ron Howard, Rush stars Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) and Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds) as racing rivals James Hunt and Niki Lauda, whose clashes on the Grand Prix racetrack epitomized the contrast between these two extraordinary characters, a distinction reflected in their private lives.
The film hits New York and L.A. theaters on September 20 and will expand nationwide a week later. Check out the clip below.
