Over 40 New ‘Man of Steel’ Pictures and an Easter Egg to Look Out For

Some folks have already seen Man of Steel and I’ve heard good buzz. I’ve also heard great things such as the film doesn’t include Kryptonite and that Henry Cavill doesn’t play the Clark Kent character we’ve all come to know him as, which makes sense considering the marketing has had General Zod (Michael Shannon) referring to him as Kal-El and as an alien from another planet in his speeches to the public. Not to mention it appears, in this day and age, they aren’t taking everyone for idiots and a pair of horn-rimmed glasses and a curly-Q hairdo isn’t going to confuse the masses as it once did.

In related news, Collider spoke with director Zack Snyder about the possibility of a Justice League movie coming up next to which he responded by saying, “I feel like you need to get Superman a little further down the road before you can do a Justice League movie.” Warner Bros. has been planning on trying to get a Justice League movie off the ground by 2015, but following script woes and now these comments from Snyder, perhaps they’ll follow the Iron Man lead and make a couple of films first before exploring any other options in the JL world.

Additionally, those looking for at least a nod to a larger world in Man of Steel, there is a small Easter Egg in the film which, I guess you could consider a spoiler, but if you don’t read about it now you might miss it when you see the movie. Also in speaking with Collider, Snyder says, “The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys.” Obviously it doesn’t mean too much, but it’s a little something to look out for.

I’ll be seeing the film soon enough, and can give you my first hand thoughts once I have, but for now Warner Bros. has sent over 47 new pictures from the movie for you to check out.

I’ve included all of them in this post over the course of the next couple pages. The include looks at the entire cast including Shannon as Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, Ayelet Zurer, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Christopher Meloni and even producer Christopher Nolan. The film hits theaters on June 14.
