Independent Film Co. has hired “The Tudors” creator Michael Hirst (and Elizabeth screenwriter) to adapt Bernard Cornwell’s best-seller “Agincourt,” says Variety.
The film will focus on Nicholas Hook, the humble archer who fought the French alongside Henry V in 1415 in one of the bloodiest battles in European history.
Pre-production is scheduled for late 2010, followed by a spring 2011 shoot.
