Dimension Films Remaking American Werewolf

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed a Bloody-Disgusting report that Dimension Films is remaking John Landis’ 1981 horror cult classic An American Werewolf in London.

The studio has picked up the rights from Landis. Overture executives-turned-producers Sean and Bryan Furst are on board to produce.

Landis wrote and directed the original, which starred David Naughton and Griffin Dunne as two American backpackers hiking in the Yorkshire moors attacked by a mysterious animal who turns out to be a werewolf.

Landis will act as an executive producer and possibly consult. No writer or director is on board yet.
