The first thing I noticed about these two new images of The Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man was that a) the one above is simply CGI and a prop and b) the one below is ugly and blurry. Why would these be the images you debut when offering fans a first look at the film’s villain? You can get the same kind of image by doing a freeze frame on the trailer.
I’ve just never known a studio to release a blurry image like this before. Studios want their film to be presented in the best possible light before release, but this is far from it. I’ve seen scanned images out of magazines that look better.
Oh well, perhaps that’s the point. Later today at 4 PM the third trailer for the film will be coming online and perhaps at that time fans will get a better look at the film’s villain. Until then, this is all you get.
