The trailers, at least around these parts, for Chernobyl Diaries haven’t seemed to inspire much enthusiasm so I’m only assuming this poster won’t either as Warner Bros. has released the first official poster (via Apple) for the upcoming nuclear fallout thriller from Oren Peli, the creator of the Paranormal Activity franchise.
Chernobyl Diaries centers on a group of friends who, while vacationing in Europe, find themselves stranded in the abandoned city of Prypiat only to discover that they are not alone.
The film’s cast is relatively unknown as is director Brad Parker, though Parker has lined up an untitled actioner with Paramount Pictures which will be produced by J.J. Abrams‘s Bad Robot and Matt Reeves, the latter of which Parker worked with as visual effects supervisor on Let Me In.
Chernobyl Diaries will serve as the horror alternative when it faces off against Men in Black III on May 25. You going?
