New ‘Skyfall’ Video Blog as James Bond Travels to Shanghai

A couple of days ago the James Bond Facebook page posted the clapperboard you see to the right as production continues on the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall. The casino chips you see strewn about are from what is being referred to as the Floating Dragon Casino, which we have to assume is a set creation considering the only “floating casino” in China is actually an aircraft carrier. Coincidentally enough, today a new video blog has been released from when the second unit actually did go to Shanghai for a reported three days to pick up a few shots.

While Daniel Craig is seen in the video, it has been reported he did not actually make the second unit shoot in China as it was predominantly said to be a night shoot amidst the neon highways of Shanghai, which is clearly evident from this video. It was also reported by MI6 that stunt driver British Rally Champion Mark Higgins returned after also performing duties on Quantum of Solace.

Interiors that you see are said to have been recreated at Pinewood and while we are just getting this video now, it would appear the shoot actually took place back in January. Interesting enough, the blog mentions shooting an airport scene, but it was already revealed the interiors for that scene were shot at the Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, which was transformed into the Shanghai International Airport last November.

Some of the imagery is quite impressive and it is, once again, just a quick glimpse so take a look if you’re interested directly below.

Skyfall is set to hit theaters on November 9.
