A flurry of TV spots have invaded the Internet in promotion of Marvel’s The Avengers and I’m sure I’m missing some, but with the four new ones below you’ll get a role call of characters, a look at the team, and extended (second) introduction to Captain America (Chris Evans) and finally a smiling Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) upon hearing the order… “Hulk Smash!”
The Avengers hits theaters on May 4 and continues the big-screen adventures started in Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, Marvel’s The Avengers with what is being referred to as “the super hero team up of a lifetime.” When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.
The film is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgard and Tom Hiddleston. For more on the film, plus my gallery of 95 images, click here.
Also, did yah hear? Captain America 2 was recently slated for an April 14, 2014 release and it will pick-up where The Avengers leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. Excited?
