I am feeling a bit under the weather today, so if you notice a lack of interest in my posts over the next 24 hours or so please forgive me. That said, I don’t think feeling the best I’ve ever felt in my life would really manage to get me all that interested in Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. I really disliked the first one, didn’t find the sequel to be too much better, so why would I care about a third? Sure, I’ll go see it when the time comes and perhaps I’ll like it, but as far as my anticipation level goes, only one thing has me interested… the fact it’s written by Noah Baumbach who co-wrote Wes Anderson‘s Fantastic Mr. Fox. But what good is Baumbach in this situation without Anderson co-writing or at the helm?
The film features voice work from Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric The Entertainer and Andy Richter and is set to hit theaters on June 8. Check out the trailer below and perhaps you’ll be looking forward to this a little more than me.
