Trailer for Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Twixt’

Last week I offered up Twixt, which will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September, and now we have a trailer to add more to the story.

The film stars Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning and Ben Chaplin and is inspired by the gothic horror of Edgar Allen Poe. The film tells the tale of a burnt-out mystery writer (Kilmer) who gets mixed up in murder and evil in a California town. I’ve added a longer synopsis below the trailer if you require more details.

This is one I particularly can’t wait to see, and if you’d like more information on the film and one of Coppola’s unique ideas on how he may distribute it click here. But before you do, you can check out the trailer directly below.

A writer with a declining career arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He’s unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.
