20th Century Fox has been promoting their upcoming return to the X-verse, X-Men: First Class, all over the place as we inch closer to that June 3 release date. Today I offer you nearly eight minutes of footage from the film in the form of nine clips, each featuring a variety of characters and exhibits of mutant powers.
X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass), the film stars a massive cast including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Rose Byrne, Morgan Lily, January Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Bill Milner, Charlie Rowe, Ray Wise.
