I made a bit of a mistake this afternoon, following a flash rainstorm cleared out I set out to get a few pics to share with you. What I didn’t realize was that I was heading down to the Palais des Festival at the exact same time as the red carpet for tonight’s black tie screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. As I arrived it was an absolute madhouse of people screaming as Hans Zimmer’s Pirates score blared in the background. So instead of just go around, I figured I’d bust out the Flip cam and give you a little taste of what madness looks like.
On hand for the red carpet festivities were Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane, Sam Claflin, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, director Rob Marshall and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Now, you can get the tiniest glimpse of the group at the top of the red steps because my camera couldn’t zoom in any further, but the reason I took the video at all was to show you the number of people that turn out just to get a glimpse at a celeb.
