TriStar Pictures has debuted the first trailer for Colombiana starring Zoe Saldana (Avatar) as Cataleya Restrepo who at age 10 witnessed the brutal murder of her parents by a Colombian drug lord. Cataleya manages to escape the bullets of the assassin and ten years later has become a real killer operating on behalf of her uncle, but her sole desire is to find her parents’ murderer and avenge their death.
The film is directed by Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3 and the upcoming Taken 2) and co-stars Michael Vartan, Jordi Molla, Cliff Curtis, Lennie James and Amandla Stenberg. TriStar is set to release the film on September 2.
