There Will No Longer be Two Pixar Films in 2012

It was certainly a bit odd to think 2012 would have two Pixar films in one year with Brave and Monsters University and it seems even Pixar and Disney finally slapped their foreheads once they realized they needed a Pixar film each and every year to satisfy the bottom line. The result… Monsters University has been moved from its previous November 2, 2012 to June 21, 2013.

The film, which we learned last week, is a prequel to the 2001 film featuring Monster Inc. employee James P. “Sully” Sullivan (John Goodman) and his one-eyed assistant Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and their accidental run in with a little human girl named Boo (Mary Gibbs). The story will follow Mike and Sully during their time at the University of Fear, where they first met and despite their differences became good friends.

But wait, that’s not all. Disney isn’t leaving their November date open for someone to scoop it up. Instead they are moving Reboot Ralph from March 22, 2013 to the November date. Ralph is currently without a director or voice cast, but it is described as a 3D/CG romp through the world of video games rumoured to be the story of an 8-bit arcade game character who is resigned to the retro gaming bin until he finds a way to jump into modern day games.
