Warner Bros. just sent over three hi-res banners promoting the upcoming November 19 release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and they feature the film’s three leads Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) in a grimy state of despair. The Potter franchise has certainly gotten darker with each turn as has the marketing.
I give kudos to Warner Bros. and their team for this franchise, which has managed to mature along the way to the extent the films have managed to bump up to the edge of a PG-13 rating and still maintain the feel of the books. I know die hard fans of the books love to complain about the story and how it hasn’t translated over perfectly, but I’ve read the books as well and I think they’ve done an excellent job and have high hopes for these final two installments.
