Remix: Quentin Tarantino vs. the Coen Bros.

The following video is three months old so perhaps you’ve seen it, perhaps you haven’t. Either way, it was the first time I’d seen it and I can only assume if you’ve already been so lucky you will probably want to watch it again and if you haven’t, and you’re a fan of the films by Quentin Tarantino and the brothers Coen, you’ll enjoy the following six minutes.

Leandro Copperfield (website) has created the following mash-up, which is pretty much a cinematic equivalent to a techno club remix taking ten films from Joel and Ethan Coen and an additional seven from Quentin Tarantino and putting them into a mixed up bit of video that’s a hell of a lot of fun to watch for folks who love the films these three gentlemen deliver.

From the Coens you have Blood Simple, Raising Arizona, Miller’s Crossing, Barton Fink, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, No Country for Old Men, Burn After Reading and A Serious Man. From Tarantino you get Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill: Vol. 1, Kill Bill: Vol. 2, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds.

After watching the entire thing I can say my favorite moment has to be watching The Bride (Uma Thurmn) and Pai Mei (Chia Hui Liu) training to The Trashmen’s “Surfin’ Bird“. Give it a watch yourself and see what you think.
