Trailer for ‘Red’ With Willis, Freeman, Malkovich, Mirren and More

Summit has debuted the trailer for the upcoming graphic novel adaptation Red and believe it or not, I actually read the first part of this one. Warren Ellis wrote the graphic novel with artwork by Cully Hamner and it’s actually a pretty decent, if not incredibly short, story centered on retired black-ops killing machine Frank Moses. Frank is living the quiet life when things are interrupted by a hi-tech assassin intent on killing him. Well, believed to be in danger he takes some initiative and does what he does best. Erich and Jon Hoeber adapted the story, here is the official synopsis:

Frank, Joe, Marvin, and Victoria used to be the CIA’s top agents — but the secrets they know just made them the Agency’s top targets. Now framed for assassination, they must use all of their collective cunning, experience and teamwork to stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers and stay alive. To stop the operation, the team embarks on an impossible, cross-country mission to break into the top-secret CIA headquarters, where they will uncover one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.

The film is directed by Robert Schwentke (The Time Traveler’s Wife and Flightplan) and stars a fleet of names including Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker, Julian McMahon, Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss, Brian Cox and John Malkovich.

Check out the trailer directly below and expect this one in theaters on October 15.
