What is Your Earliest Remembered Moviegoing Experience?

I was inspired by Nate’s post at Film Experience to mine my memory banks in search of what I remember to be my earliest moviegoing experience. Of course, there’s no way of knowing for sure what was the first movie I went to as not even my parents can remember. It may have been Star Wars the year I was born, but the earliest memory of the movies I have retained was from when I was four-years-old and seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark at the drive-in. However, that is a bit of an exaggeration.

I chose the screen capture of Alfred Molina’s back covered in tarantulas because that is the first and last thing I remember from that night other than waking up in the back of my father’s Jeep on the way home. The sight of all those spiders has been burned into my memory and will always be my earliest movie memory.

So how about you, what’s your earliest memory? Also, add some details in your comments to let us know how old you were at the time you saw it.
