The official Cannes Film Festival site has debuted the first clip from Stephen Frears’s Cannes entry Tamara Drewe, which will be debuting at the fest on Tuesday, March 18.
The film is based on Posy Simmonds’ acclaimed graphic novel and follows the title character played by Gemma Arterton (Clash of the Titans), a sexy flirt who returns to her small country village and stirs up dark passions among the locals.
To our amusement, and surely to no one’s surprise that saw the debut image of Arterton as Tamara, the clip brings a sense of humor I hope carries throughout the film.
