I liked Nic Cage in Kick-Ass, but his upcoming role in Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (7/16) looks a bit… off. I have yet to watch any of the trailer footage, but the pictures alone look a bit weird to me as he plays a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina).
Cage’s National Treasure helmer, Jon Turteltaub, is directing and it co-stars Jay Baruchel, Teresa Palmer, Toby Kebbell and Monica Bellucci.
