
AMC is doing it again and this year they have a lot more to offer as the Academy has nominated ten films for Best Picture, which means their Best Picture marathon is getting two Saturdays in most cities, but in New York City (Empire 25), Los Angeles (Block 30), Chicago (River East 21) and Washington D.C. (Hoffman Center 22) AMC is offering all ten films back-to-back-to-back-to you get the idea.
Starting at 12:01 AM on March 6 a 24-hour Best Picture Marathon for only $45 in the above mentioned cities with the following schedule:
- 12:01 AM: Avatar 3D
- 3:00 AM: A Serious Man
- 5:00 AM: Up 3D
- 7:00 AM: District 9
- 9:10 AM: Inglourious Basterds
- 12:00 PM: The Blind Side
- 2:30 PM: An Education
- 4:30 PM: Precious
- 7:00 PM: Up in the Air
- 9:30 PM: The Hurt Locker
Attendees will also get a free large popcorn with unlimited refills for the day.
Everywhere else the event will take up two separate Saturdays beginning on February 27. Here’s the film breakdown:
Saturday, February 27
- 10:30 AM: Avatar 3D
- 1:45 PM: Up in the Air
- 4:00 PM: Precious
- 6:45 PM: The Blind Side
- 9:15 PM: Inglourious Basterds
Saturday, March 6

Folks attending these screenings will also get a free large popcorn and unlimited refills. Customers can buy two-day passes online for $60 or at the box-office for $50.
