‘Milk’ Scripter Lines Up Neeson and Connelly for ‘Virginia’

Dustin Lance Black, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Milk, is stepping behind the camera and has recruited some top talent for What’s Wrong with Virginia based on the script he wrote.

Joining the project are Liam Neeson and Jennifer Conelly, the latter of which will play the charming but psychologically disturbed mother of a 16-year-old son. Her 20-year clandestine love with a sheriff (Neeson), who is running for the state senate, is tested when her son begins a relationship with his daughter.

Milk helmer Gus Van Sant is exec producing which will shoot in Michigan in late summer.

Neeson recently starred in Taken which just hit DVD and Blu-ray while Connelly is coming off two 2009 features including a tiny role in Inkheart and featured more prominently in He’s Just Not That Into You. Later this year her voice will be heard in the animated film 9 which hits theaters on September 9.
