Sony Pictures debuted the new poster for Angels and Demons via Twitter today all while Catholics wait for the Vatican’s decision as to whether or not they will be urged to shun the Da Vinci Code prequel, which was banned from filming in the Holy See last summer. The Vatican has already said they “cannot approve” of the film, but an official boycott has yet to be called.
Angels and Demons is based on “The Da Vinci Code” author Dan Brown’s novel of the same name and features Tom Hanks reprising his role as Harvard religious expert Robert Langdon as he investigates evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati which has a goal to blow up the Vatican.
