Barry Sonnenfeld will direct and produce an English-language remake of Korean box office hit Scandal Makers, reports Variety.
The film centers on a philandering pop singer whose life is turned upside-down when he discovers that he has a daughter and a grandson.
“I was immediately attracted to ‘Scandal Makers’ because of its universal themes,” Sonnenfeld said. “It is funny, intelligent and full of heart.”
Sonnenfeld is looking to partner with a major studio and producer to develop and release the project.
