Looking back at last night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards it wasn’t necessarily a great show, but at least it didn’t overstay its welcome coming in at just over two hours and only crashing the RopeofSilicon sever for approximately 30 minutes. However, there were a few good speeches and three of them are already available on YouTube as I still plan on keeping an eye out for Gary Oldman accepting for Heath Ledger and Sean Penn.
For now check out the speeches from Kate Winslet who won for her performance in The Reader, Meryl Streep who had a lot of fun with her speech after winning for Doubt and Hugh Laurie who won for his role in “House” as he gives a pretty good opening line.
