I just added 44 new pics from three upcoming films, two of which have already received some serious attention and another that seems to be teetering on the edge of good and bad based on the trailers I have seen.
The Warner Bros. international thriller Body of Lies starring Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio directed by Ridley Scott is the questionable one of the bunch since I have yet to be interested by the trailers, but I have just added 29 new pictures from the flick including two character posters. The pics don’t do much to sell me on the film, but you be the judge and check all of them out right here.
Next up is Hunger from first time director Steve McQueen. This film has generated a lot of buzz from the festival circuit including being the Cannes Camera d’Or winner and will be released by IFC Films, the only question is no one knows when as of yet. The film follows life in the Maze Prison, Northern Ireland, with an interpretation of the highly emotive events surrounding the 1981 IRA Hunger Strike led by Bobby Sands. The film provides a timely exploration of what happens when body and mind are pushed to the uttermost limit. You can check out all six of the pics right here.
Finally we have Italy’s Foreign Language Oscar submission Gomorrah directed by Matteo Garrone, which will also be released by IFC Films, a film described as a portrait of Naples mafia. The film was a hit at Cannes where it received the runner-up prize and is considered by many one of the Foreign Oscar front-runners. Check out the nine new pics right here.
