NBC is trying to salvage their January 13th as the 2008 Golden Globes have suffered quite the casualty and are resorting to an hour long press conference to announce their winners as the WGA proves they haven’t won anything and have only managed to make more people dislike them.
On top of the ridiculous news that “American Gladiators” will follow the Globe press conference (as if the same audience is watching either one of those shows) there is now news that a fleet of Golden Globe nominees will be sitting down for one-on-one interviews with NBC News correspondents in “Going for Gold,” a special hosted by NBC News’ Matt Lauer beginning at 7PM and will run for two hours prior to the Globe announcement. Interviewees include James McAvoy, Sally Field, Ellen Page, Amy Adams, Kyra Sedgwick, William Shatner, Nikki Blonsky and Patricia Arquette.
What is the one thing you are going to be sure to tune in for? Get this…
The show will include commentary by comedian Kathy Griffin, and NBC’s “Football Night in America” team predicts the night’s winners.
Hot damn! They just solved world peace and the cure for cancer with that ingenious lineup.
However, all of this may actually give Laremy something to live blog about, but it may also mean more alcohol will be necessary.
