It’s nice to see films now days not resorting to A-list actors all the time, especially when it comes to a comicbook property as director Lexi Alexander has revealed three more names added to the cast of The Punisher: War Zone on her official site.
While the name for Jigsaw is still being kept quiet she does tell us that Dash Mihok will play Detective Martin Soap, Colin Salmon will play Agent Paul Budiansky and Doug Hutchinson will be Loony Bin Jim. Granted, this is really deviating from the A-list, but who am I to complain? While I haven’t seen Green Street Hooligans, I have heard good things about Alexander’s talent. Hell, in Hooligans Elijah Wood played a bad ass, it doesn’t deviate far from reality much more than that.
Of course, the name for the villainous Jigsaw is quiet, but Lexi does say, “I have the perfect, most talented Jigsaw!!!!!!! Stay tuned. (Don’t you hate that).”
Yes we do Lexi… Yes. We. Do. Oh, and by the way, tell Lexi to fix that site of hers, it doesn’t exactly work all that well.
The Punisher: War Zone hits theaters some time in 2008.
