Elizabeth Banks was the hottie in Slither for the five of you that saw it in the theater, but take my word those of you that didn’t, she is sexy and word is that she has signed on to star in What About Barb? for Universal Pictures.
Banks will apparently star in and produce the rom-com about a socialite who must allow her uncouth cousin to be maid of honor so her nouveau riche uncle will pay for the wedding.
There currently isn’t a director attached, but Mark Perez (Accepted) is penning the script, based on the story of the same name by Jill Bernheimer and Keetgi Kogan.
Banks will next be seen in a small role in Spider-Man 3 followed by a larger part in the Christmas comedy Fred Claus.
