‘The Queen’ Takes Top Honors at BAFTA Awards

Oddly enough The Queen is getting no Best Picture love when it comes to Oscar talk yet it has managed to crack the box-office top ten over the past four weeks. However, this isn’t a trend that carried over to the Orange British Academy Film Awards as The Queen took top honors.

Other notable wins went to Paul Greengrass for director for United 93, Forest Whitaker for The Last King of Scotland and of course Helen Mirren for Best Actress for The Queen, which is probably the only guaranteed lock for Oscar night even though Forest is pretty close for Best Actor among a few others.
