Well, a chink in the Letters from Iwo Jima armor has been unveiled as neither Clint Eastwood or either of his 2006 films get honored by the New York Film Critics Circle as they have just unveiled their opinion on the films of 2006. Taking Best Picture honors is the Paul Greengrass directed United 93. Forest Whitaker takes actor nod, Helen Mirren continues her actress domination and Marty Scorsese gets a directorial nod for The Departed.
