Ocean Goes from Eleven, to Twelve to Thirteen

I think we all agree that Ocean’s Twelve was nowhere near as good as Ocean’s Eleven, but I enjoyed it simply because of the cast and the nature of the picture. I think we also can agree that a sequel is not a surprise considering how they left it, and I also think we all want to see Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) get what’s coming to him.

That said, the news out of Variety makes me very happy as Variety reports that president of WB-based Jerry Weintraub Prods. is in the early stages of plotting an Ocean’s Thirteen as he gets a script by Brian Koppelman and David Levien.

Apparently the goal is to go into production later this year, which must mean they are eyeing either a summer or fall 2007 release with director Steven Soderbergh and his Section Eight partner George Clooney back for more.
