Variety is reporting that Ryan Gosling and Anthony Mackie are set to star in the indie feature Half Nelson for director Ryan Fleck based on his Sundance-winning short film “Gowanus, Brooklyn.”
The drama will begin lensing this month in NYC and follows a unique relationship between a white schoolteacher, his African-American student and a local drug dealer.
Fleck also co-wrote the story with Anna Boden who is producing the feature along with Traction Media.
