2005 Fox Summer Preview


Early today we uploaded 11 new stills for Kingdom of Heaven that we had just received, what we did not know was that 19 more would make their way into our hands along with new pics for Star Wars: Episode III, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Fantastic Four and Rebound as Fox unveils their 2005 Summer Preview.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

The sinister Sith unveil a thousand-year-old plot to rule the galaxy in the midst of the Clone Wars. The Republic crumbles and from its ashes rises the evil Galactic Empire.

Soon after, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker is seduced by the dark side of the Force and becomes the Emperor’s new apprentice and the galaxy’s most feared villain, Darth Vader.

Vader assists in decimating the Jedi, sending Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda into hiding. It’s realized the only hope for the galaxy is Anakin’s own offspring — the twin children born in secrecy who will grow up to become Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.

MR. & MRS. SMITH (June 10th)

A sexy, action-packed thrill ride about a bored married couple who discover that they are enemy assassins. John and Jane Smith are an ordinary suburban couple with an ordinary, lifeless suburban marriage. But each of them has a secret — they are actually both legendary assassins working for competing organizations. When the truth comes out, John and Jane end up in each other’s cross-hairs.

REBOUND (July 1st)

Larry Burgess (Patrick Warburton), a junior high school basketball coach who has one of the best teams in the league. When coach Roy McCormick (Martin Lawrence) is suspended from college ball for attacking a referee, he is forced to coach a junior high team that is desperate to beat Burgess’ team.

Marvel’s beloved superhero team comes to the big screen. Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic, who can elongate his body; Susan Storm / Invisible Woman, who not only can become invisible at will but can render other objects invisible; Johnny Storm / Human Torch, who can shoot fire from his finger tips and bend flame; and Ben Grimm / The Thing, a hideously misshapen monster with superhuman strength, together battle the evil Doctor Doom.

(August 5th)

Writer-director Mike Judge’s unique brand of social observational humor this time examines an average guy (Luke Wilson) who volunteers to be the subject of a hibernation experiment that goes awry. He wakes up 1000 years in the future, discovering that he’s the smartest guy on the planet. and two guys (Dax Shepard and Luke Wilson) make their way through a world populated entirely of imbeciles.
