Variety is reporting that Steve Carell, Greg Kinnear and Toni Collette are set to star in Little Miss Sunshine, a road-trip comedy with Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris making their directorial debuts, I guess a comedy is harder to direct than originally thought.
The storyline will follow the three on a cross-country journey in a VW bus of a family bent on getting an 8-year-old to the finals of a beauty pageant.
Filming is scheduled to begin June 6th in Los Angeles with Big Bleach financing the project and controlling all distribution rights.
