Ansel Elgort to Headline November Criminals Opposite Chloë Grace Moretz

Ansel Elgort, the rapidly rising young star who, just last year, appeared in Divergent, Men, Women & Children and The Fault in Our Stars, is set to headline Sacha Gervasi’s (Hitchcock, Anvil: The Story of Anvil) upcoming November Criminals opposite Chloë Grace Moretz (If I Stay, The Equalizer), who he co-starred with in Carrie. Featuring an adapted screenplay by Academy Award nominee Steven Knight (Locke, Eastern Promises) from Sam Munson’s novel, the film will also star two-time Academy Award nominee Catherine Keener (Captain Phillips, Capote).

November Criminals follows two teenagers into the dangerous underbelly of Washington DC as they investigate the murder of their friend while falling in love for the first time.

“This is a beautiful love story between two teenagers set against the backdrop of a murder mystery,” said Ara Keshishian, President of Lotus Entertainment, when the project was announced back in November, “and it’s thrilling to have an amazing cast taking shape…”

Elgort can next be seen reprising his Divergent role in the director Robert Schwentke’s Insurgent, set to hit theaters on March 20.

Beth O’Neil (Jack Goes Boating) will produce November Criminals alongside Lotus, who is also handling international sales.
