Spanish filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) will direct character-driven chase drama Wednesday for DreamWorks and producer Nina Jacobson.
Massy Tadjedin’s script revolves around a desperate man who carjacks a young woman, setting off a high-speed car chase across Los Angeles.
Fresnadillo will begin shooting early next year, marking the first project into which Jacobson will go into production since ankling as president of the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group and signing an overall deal with DreamWorks.
Paramount will handle worldwide distribution on Wednesday.
