Christopher Nolan’s Sci-Fi Masterpiece Finds New Life on Streaming Amid The Odyssey Buzz

The release of The Odyssey has not just made waves at the box office following its theatrical release but has also seemingly driven interest in Christopher Nolan’s other films. Among the Nolan movies that have apparently benefited the most from the buzz surrounding The Odyssey is 2014’s Interstellar, which is once again dominating on streaming.

Interstellar finds new audience on Hulu

In the wake of The Odyssey’s release, the sci-fi movie Interstellar has found renewed success on streaming. The movie, currently available on Hulu, experienced a major boost in its streaming numbers on July 22 in the US.

According to the statistics procured by FlixPatrol, Interstellar has managed to enter the list of the top five most-watched movies on the Disney-owned streaming service. The Academy Award-winning feature presently occupies the fourth spot in the Top 10 movie list on Hulu, behind Twilight, Brothers Under Fire, and Ready or Not 2: Here I Come in first place.

The increase in the movie’s popularity can be understood by looking at its ranking in the overall category on Hulu. Despite TV shows dominating the viewership statistics on the platform, Interstellar has managed to land the 11th spot in the overall list for July 22. While King of the Hill leads the list, other chart-topping titles include General Hospital, Love Island UK, 20/20, and Rick and Morty, among others.

Notably, The Odyssey’s premiere has not just helped Interstellar rise up the ranks on streaming, but has also aided other Christopher Nolan titles in finding new audiences. 2023’s Oppenheimer was one such winner on July 22, as it climbed to the 20th rank in movies on Prime Video and 14th on the Apple TV Store.

Other Nolan movies that secured fresh views on the day on the Apple TV Store include Tenet, Inception, and Batman Begins.
