Kevin Feige‘s shocking response has drawn an uncertain picture of Adam Driver‘s rumored X-Men casting. For a long time now, the acclaimed actor has been linked to several roles in the X-Men reboot movie.
What did Kevin Feige say about Adam Driver and the MCU?
Recently, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige sat down for a podcast episode with Happy Sad Confused’s Josh Horowitz. The host tried to get Feige to comment on the rumors about Adam Driver’s potential casting in the MCU. However, his response presented a completely different picture of the ongoing situation.
While he confirmed that Driver was approached for a role in the MCU, Feige also revealed that the actor has been uninterested despite Marvel Studios repeatedly reaching out to him. “It’s no secret, we would like to,” said Feige while expressing his wish to have Adam Driver, “But it’s a tradition to zoom with him and then he passed.”
Adam Driver’s name has circulated widely online in recent weeks. Some rumors have suggested he is being eyed for the role of Mister Sinister in the MCU’s X-Men reboot from Jake Schreier. Another rumor has claimed that he could portray William Stryker in the X-Men reboot. With the latest revelation from the Marvel Studios President, it’s clear that all the X-Men rumors regarding Driver may slow down moving forward.
Interestingly, Driver is not the only renowned Hollywood star making waves online for a rumored role in the X-Men movie. Several reports have claimed that Aquaman star and The Conjuring fame Patrick Wilson may play Charles Xavier/Professor X in the reboot X-Men film. Similarly, Obsession’s Inde Navarrette and Marty Supreme fame Odessa A’zion are rumored to be in the running for playing Rogue.
The reboot X-Men movie from Jake Schreier has yet to receive an official release window.
