Jackass 6 remains unlikely, as the various members of the team have confirmed that the fifth movie is the last one. However, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road in terms of them collaborating. During a recent Q&A session moderated by Paul Scheer, Jackass co-creators Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine discussed what the future could hold for the Jackass crew.
Jeff Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville address what’s beyond Jackass: Best and Last
Tremaine, who co-created Jackass with Spike Jonze and Knoxville, made it clear during a recent Q&A session that he wants to do something else with the team beyond Jackass. “We love the group. We think there’s potential to do something different. I just don’t want to do another Jackass,” he said. This prompted Knoxville to reveal that he has some thoughts for the next team-up.
“I always had a dream to do a heist movie with the Jackass cast,” Knoxville said.
Notably, Knoxville is the host and narrator of CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist, a true-crime comedy podcast.
Since it debuted as an MTV series back in 2000, the Jackass franchise has carved out its own space in pop culture. The original show has three short seasons, but its success eventually led to the expansion of the franchise. The first cinematic entry, Jackass: The Movie, debuted in 2002. Jackass Number Two came out in 2006, followed by Jackass 3D in 2010, and Jackass Forever in 2022. There have also been Jackass Presents movies, developed by members of the team. Jackass Presents: Mat Hoffman’s Tribute to Evel Knievel debuted in 2008, and Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa in 2013.
At the time of this article’s composition, it’s unclear whether this proposed heist movie could be another Jackass Presents feature.
Knoxville announced the fifth Jackass movie in January 2026. He later confirmed that the movie would also be the last one in the series. Jackass: Best and Last premieres today in US theaters.
