New Line has purchased Party Up, new writer Corey Harrell’s urban comedy script, and set it up with Benderspink’s Chris Bender, Mason Novick and Michael Steinberg.
Elijah Kelley will star in what will be his third teaming with New Line following Hairspray and Take the Lead. The story centers on kids who set out to throw the biggest high school party ever, but their resourcefulness is tested when the party’s location falls apart at the last minute.
JC Spink will executive produce Party Up.
