Robert Patrick – who has sprinted across the genre field in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, “The X-Files,” The Faculty and can currently be seen in Bridge to Terabithia – has taken lead in the new film Autopsy, a hospital horrors-laden spookshow from director Adam Gierasch, co-scripter of Tobe Hooper’s The Toolbox Murders and Dario Argento’s anticipated The Third Mother.
Gierasch will cut his teeth in the director’s chair next month when the film begins lensing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with co-stars Jessica Lowndes (“Masters of Horror: Dance of the Dead”), Michael Bowen (Kill Bill Vol. 1), Robert LaSardo (“Nip/Tuck”) and Jenette Goldstein (Aliens, Near Dark). Longtime collaborator Jace Anderson co-penned the script with Gierasch and Evan Katz. In addition to the casting of a number of genre vets, the project has also attracted Final Destination producer Warren Zide and director of photography Anthony B. Richmond whose impressive credits include the early-’90s urban legend shocker Candyman and Nicolas Roeg’s acclaimed genre benchmark Don’t Look Now.
We’ll have more coverage of Autopsy when ComingSoon.net launches its horror arm, ShockTillYouDrop.com, in just a matter of weeks!
