Fuze: Aaron Taylor-Johnson to Lead Heist Thriller Movie

According to Variety, Golden Globe winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson has officially signed on for the leading role in the upcoming heist thriller movie titled Fuze.

This marks Taylor-Johnson’s second collaboration with director David Mackenzie, after previously working together in 2018’s historical drama Outlaw King. Before starring in Fuze, the Kick-Ass star will next be seen in a few high-profile movies, including David Leitch’s action comedy The Fall Guy, Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man spin-off Kraven the Hunter, and Robert Eggers’ gothic horror film Nosferatu.

What to expect from Fuze?

Fuze will be directed by Mackenzie from a screenplay written by Ben Hopkins. The story begins with “the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site, sparking a mass evacuation – the perfect cover for a heist,” reads the synopsis. It is produced by Gillian Berrie, Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant.

“Tension is one of the purest emotions that cinema can create. I had the idea of combining all the high stakes of an unexploded bomb with that of a bank robbery — clashing these two genres to create as much pressure as possible — in a context that feels as real as possible,” Mackenzie said in a statement. “Ben Hopkins took those ingredients and cooked up the compelling script that we are now taking into production.”
