Civil War’s Alex Garland Co-Directing New A24 Movie, Could Star Charles Melton

Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza are directing a new war movie together for A24 that could star May December’s Charles Melton.

Melton co-starred in Todd Haynes’ May December, which was released on Netflix in December 2023, alongside Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore. He also played Reggie Mantle in the CW’s Riverdale and also appeared in 2020’s Bad Boys for Life and 2022’s Secret Headquarters.

Garland is known for directing 2014’s Ex Machina, 2018’s Annihilation, and 2022’s Men, all of which were released by A24. He also worked on the screenplays for 2002’s 28 Days Later, 2007’s Sunshine, and 2012’s Dredd.
