Porky Pig and Daffy Duck are starring in The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, a fully animated feature film that will be released in theaters.
According to Variety, GFM Animation is bringing Warner Bros. Animation’s The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie to the American Film Market (held October 31 through November 5) to search for worldwide distribution.
There have been several theatrically released Looney Tunes movies in the past, including 1996’s Space Jam, 2003’s Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and 2021’s Space Jam: A New Legacy; however, The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie will be the first fully animated Looney Tunes feature film released in theaters.

Directed by Pete Browngardt and the team behind the Looney Tunes Cartoons, The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie sees Porky Pig and Daffy Duck attempt to save Earth from an alien invasion.
“Our artists have created an incredible Looney Tunes film that follows in the cinematic tradition of when audiences first fell in love with these characters. GFM Animation are the perfect partners to help us bring Porky and Daffy back to their rightful place on the big screen,” said Sam Register, the president of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network studios.

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is currently in production but is expected to be finished in 2024.
