Michael Cera Was a ‘Little Depressed’ After Finishing Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Actor Michael Cera was “a little depressed” after finishing filming Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Cera starred as the titular character in the 2010 action comedy movie from director Edgar Wright. This movie has garnered a cult following in recent years. In an interview with GQ, Cera shared that he had a fun time with his cast and crew.

“We just had the greatest vibe with everybody,” he recalled (via The Hollywood Reporter). “I think that trickled down from Edgar and the energy that he was creating. We all got to rehearse together and spend a lot of time together before we even started making the movie.”

When filming ended, Cera felt like, “This is my world, this is my group of friends” and hoped it was “always going to be this way.” However, he says, “I was a little depressed when we were done because it all just goes away, and like, ‘Where did everybody go?'” He goes on to say he could have continued making the movie forever despite how exhausting it was.

When is the Scott Pilgrim anime release date?

It will release on Netflix on November 17, 2023, with the film cast reprising their roles.
