Actor Zachary Levi has shared an update on whether he will reprise his role as Billy Batson/Shazam in the DC Universe.
Levi first portrayed the DCEU superhero in the 2019 movie Shazam! His portrayal received critical praise, and the movie had positive reviews. In 2023, the film saw a sequel called Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which ended up with mixed reviews and bombed at the box office. With James Gunn and Peter Safran rebooting the DCEU with the DC Universe, some have wondered which actors will reprise their roles from the other films.
Will Zachary Levi return as Shazam?
In a recent podcast, Levi commented on it, saying, “I don’t know what the future holds because Fury of the Gods was not well received. I have no idea where we go from here.”
A few actors who are set to reprise their roles from the DCEU are Viola Davis as Amanda Waller and Steve Agee as John Economos.
