New set photos from the upcoming Joker: Folie à Deux show off more of Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role of the Joker, and in the latest batch of photos, Phoenix’s character looks pretty roughed up.
The latest photos showcase Phoenix’s Arthur walking down the street and looking extremely dirty and in a daze. It’s unclear exactly what happened to the character, but he’s clearly seen better days.

The latest photos come just a day after new video of Lady Gaga singing a song popped up online, and a few days after other photos of Joaquin Phoenix participating in a chase scene of sorts also were filmed.
Joker: Folie à Deux is once again being directed by Todd Phillips. The film will feature the return of Joaquin Phoenix as he reprises his Oscar-winning role as the titular DC villain. He will be joined by Grammy-winning superstar Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. The sequel will also feature the return of Zazie Beetz’s Sophie, along with franchise newcomers Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey.
