The new art, which fans spotted on new merchandise for the film, sees Miles in a swinging pose in a costume that’s entirely black and white. Whether or not this will be a new suit for the character or simply him appearing in a universe that’s black and white is unknown, but it is a brand new look for the character as a whole. Other shirts also show off looks for Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man 2099, who look to be wearing almost identical suits as they did in the original film.

Alongside the new look at merchandise, two stills from the upcoming film were also released, showing off Miles in a winter outfit as he walks through a blurred and crowded area and a look at Miles and Spider-Gwen. The image also confirms that a new Across the Spider-Verse trailer will be released on December 13, 2022.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will also see Issa Rae’s Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman join Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld in the animated comic book sequel. The two are reprising their roles as Miles Morales/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen, respectively. Plot details are being kept under wraps but will reportedly feature multiple Spider-powered characters “across Marvel Comics’ time and space.”

It was announced in April that Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson will serve as the film’s trio of directors. Lord, Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Christina Steinberg are all returning to produce the Sony Pictures project, with Alonzo Ruvalcaba co-producing. The original Spider-Verse director Peter Ramsey will executive produce, along with Aditya Sood.
